Discover the Jungle Discipleship School

Our One Goal

We have one goal at the Discipleship School, we want you to grow closer to God. All the learning and community practices and academic study is in place for one reason, to draw you deeper into true relationship with God. There is a lot of practices in the church today that we don’t know why we do them, and they don’t draw us any closer to God. We want to engage with and understand practices and traditions of the church in order to deepen our relationship with God. Read through our curriculum and see the topics we will cover during our school year.

Daily Routine

Take a look at a sample of our daily rhythm/routine. Students will be divided into work groups (cooking, camp work, farm/garden, etc.) and rotate each week. Campus life is flexible and always changing, but this schedule will give you an idea of what a typical week looks like. Click Here.

Yearly Routine

We have a singular focus each week. Our curriculum is designed to help students really learn God and meet him. Take a look at a sample yearly plan for JDS where you can see what subjects we are studying, what community practices we have, and what resources we use to point us to the scriptures and to God. Hands and Feet Missions

We don't want to just sit in our campus bubble, we want to put our faith in action. Twice a year our students will leave campus and go to the places of need in Burma - and there are a lot of places of need. We want to be the hands and feet of Jesus in Burma, bringing the gospel and a cup of cold water. These missions are sometimes dangerous, but always rewarding.

Meet the Team

We have an awesome leadership team that helps to manage the Discipleship School and camp. We have several foreign partners that come visit the school regularly and a diverse group of ethnic leaders. We have students and staff from several different ethnic groups including, Karen, Karenni, Arakan, Po Karen, Kachin and Burman. For the security of our teachers and leadership team we can’t show their faces or names online, but we encourage you to come and meet them!
